Health Carnival

Seva International is in discussion with HPB to conduct health carnival in the month of November 2022, tentatively 6th of Nov 2022. Keep watching here for more details.

The pandemic drew public attention to the living standards of the many foreign workers on work permits in Singapore. Though many improvements have been made, we plan to conduct culturally relevant programmes to enhance their physical and mental health.

The National Health Population Survey reports (2017, 2019, 2020) showed that the prevalence of Diabetes among Singapore Indians is high and increasing steadily. More noteworthy is that this prevalence is seen in adults aged 18 to 74 years. The prevalence of obesity at 17.7% is also higher among us than the national average.

We plan to conduct a Pre-Diabetes Awareness and Screening Programme for young Indian adults. The focus will be on risk assessment, screening and focus on prevention practices and how to make changes towards a healthier lifestyle to reduce risk and /or manage the disease better.

Thanks to all Participants & temple management, Seva International Singapore conducted Thiruvilakku Poojai on 14th of August 2022 at Sri Rudrakaliamman Temple, Singapore.

More than 114 registered Women did pooja to Thiruvialakku to spread positivity to the world.
